We take coffee very seriously and have found a roaster that not only produces amazing coffee but is small local company with fantastic values and business philosophies. Moja: The simple and direct translation from Swahili to English is “The One” or “One of a kind”

Moja Coffee is a North Vancouver small batch Italian inspired coffee roaster using beans sourced from organic estate farms and co-ops around the globe. Wendel’s has worked closely with Moja to create custom organic blends just for our customers. By using the highest quality organic beans and then roasted them in small batches, Moja has created unique hand crafted coffee just for Wendel’s that is truly outstanding.

Wendel’s Private Roasts

Each of these roasts are also available for your home use and can be ground to suit your coffee equipment.

Medium Roast - A blend of coffees from Indonesia, central and South America. These coffees are roasted slowly and blended before roasting to ensure a smooth and mellow cup.

Bold Roast- A blend of high grown Arabica beans from Indonesia and Central America. We use high grown coffees because they stand up well to a dark roast. These coffees are blended together after roasting to get the most out of the coffees. 

Espresso- South American, Indonesia, and Central America. Blended and roasted for a smooth sweet espresso. It cuts through milk well for cappuccino and lattes.

Decafe Espresso –A very simple approach when it comes to decaffeinated coffees: It has to be a Swiss Water Process and it can’t taste like decaf. At Moja we carry only one decaf - our decaf espresso blend. All the flavor of regular espresso with no caffeine. A combination of Indonesian beans are combined to give you a full bodied coffee, with a sweet caramel finish.
